Create an Entity Payment Method

Administrators can create entity payment methods so staff can enter payments of separate types for a given entity.

  1. In the tab bar, click
, or in Salesforce Classic, click
Nimble AMS, Staff View, Button, All Tabs.
  2. Click Entities.
  3. Select a list view—like All Active Entities—and click Go!

  4. Click on the entity that you want to modify.
  5. In the Entity Payment Methods related list, click New Entity Payment Method.
  6. In Payment Method, enter the name of a payment method to use with the entity, click
Nimble AMS, Staff View, Button, Lookup, and select the payment method.
  7. Entity is populated with the entity for which the entity payment method is created.
  8. In Bank Account, enter the name of a bank account that payments using this method will be directed to, click

Nimble AMS, Staff View, Button, Lookup, and select the bank account.

Though you must enter a value in Bank Account, it is not used for entity payment methods where Payment Method is Stored Payment. In the case of a stored credit card or eCheck, the bank account on the entity payment method of the selected stored payment is used for payments.

  9. Optionally, in Currency, select the currency value to be USD or CAD.

    Note

If you have enabled Salesforce multi-currency, Salesforce introduces the Currency field on all object layouts within your org.

While creating a new Entity Payment Method record, select the Currency field value that matches the Currency field value on the linked Entity record. If the Currency field value of the Entity Payment Method and the Entity record do not match, then it throws an error.

Also, once the record is saved, you will not be allowed to edit the value of the Currency field.
