Set Up a Product to be Eligible for Recurring Orders
Set up a Product to be Eligible for Recurring Orders with a Saved Payment
Don't do this
Please note we currently don't support a configuration scenario where a product is not eligible for recurring but is marked as Auto-Renewal required.
The recurring schedule configuration is very flexible, allowing you or even constituents to determine how frequent the recurrence is (Ex: monthly, quarterly, yearly) on a per-product basis.
To make a product eligible for Recurring Orders with a Saved Payment in Staff View and Community Hub:
- Select
Recurring Eligible
. Specify the
Recurring Frequency
(Ex: monthly, yearly). This is the duration of time between each payment.Adding More than One Frequency
If you want to associate a product to more than one frequency, add a product frequency record to the Product Frequencies related list, one for each additional frequency. A product linked to multiple frequencies will present all of those frequencies as options during the payment process, but the staff user or constituent must still pick only one frequency.
This is helpful, for example, if you have a donation product: you can link it to a Monthly frequency and a Quarterly frequency. When the constituent sets up a recurring donation in Community Hub, they can choose to donate either monthly or quarterly.
Be sure that
Recurring Frequency
is always populated before adding additional frequencies via Product Frequencies. In other words, do not leaveRecurring Frequency
blank and exclusively use the Product Frequencies related list because Nimble AMS first checksRecurring Frequency
. IfRecurring Frequency
is blank, the product is ineligible for Recurring Orders with a Saved Payment, even ifRecurring Eligible
is selected and there are records in the Product Frequencies related list.If you want to track all the frequencies using the Product Frequencies related list, you can remove
Recurring Frequency
from the page layout and exclusively use product frequencies. IfRecurring Frequency
is blank, the next place Nimble AMS checks is the Product Frequencies related list.If
Recurring Frequency
is blank and the Product Frequencies related list is empty, then Nimble AMS doesn't consider the product eligible, even ifRecurring Eligible
is selected.
