Set Up Duplicate Checking For Companies in Community Hub

Administrators can enable and customize duplicate checking for potential duplicates when constituents try to create a new account on the Add Affiliation page.

Enable for Companies

Please contact NimbleUser Support to complete these steps.

  1. From Setup, click Develop | Custom Settings.
  2. Click Manage next to the Customization Settings custom setting.
  3. Click Edit next to Customization.
  4. Select Company Duplicate Checking Enabled.
  5. By default, the Apex class in Individual Duplicate Service Class identifies duplicates that are partial and exact matches. Alternatively, you can enter:

    NC.DatacloudDupeService

    We recommend you use this Apex class, as it utilizes Salesforce Duplicate Management to identify duplicates using the duplicate rule(s) and a matching rule(s) on the Account.

    NC.DupeServiceThis Apex class identifies only duplicates that are exact matches.

    You can also use a custom Apex class to further customize the types of matches which are returned.

  6. Click Save.
  7. If you are using Salesforce Duplicate Management:
    1. Set up duplicate rules:
      1. From Setup, enter Duplicate Management in the Quick Find box, then select Duplicate Rules.
      2. Review the included duplicate rule(s) on the Account object and deactivate any you do not want to use.
      3. Activate a duplicate rule(s)

        1. Activate the Nimble AMS Person Account Duplicate Rule duplicate rule on the Account object to use the standard Nimble AMS duplicate management for company accounts.

        2. To customize duplicate management for company accounts, create a duplicate rule(s) and a matching rule(s) on the Account object. Learn more (external).

          Keep in mind that the alert text you enter on a duplicate rule displays in Community Hub and Staff View.

          Also, duplicate rules and a matching rules will affect duplicate management for all Community Hubs.

    2. Add the Potential Duplicates component to all Account record pages. Learn more (external).
