Create an Appeal

Staff can create an appeal linked to a donation product so they can solicit to a target group of individuals.

Additionally, they can clone an existing appeal to expedite creation of a new appeal. It will copy information from the cloned appeal into the new appeal.

Create an Appeal from Scratch

  1. Create an appeal record:
    1. In the tab bar, click 
      App Launcher, or in Salesforce Classic, click 
      Nimble AMS, Staff View, Button, All Tabs.
    2. Click Appeals.
    3. Click New Appeal.
    4. In Appeal Name, enter the name of the appeal.

    5. Click Save.

  2. Create an appeal product link record:
    1. In the Appeal Product Links related list, click New Appeal Product Link.
    2. In Appeal Product Link Name, enter the name of the appeal product link.

      We recommend naming the appeal product link so you can identify the group to which you intend to solicit.

    3. In Product, enter the name of the donation product you want to solicit to constituents, click 
      Nimble AMS, Staff View, Button, Lookup, and select the product from the lookup results.
    4. Optionally, if you are using web analytics to track giving in Community Hub, you may want to include some extra text in the URL for the donation checkout page that is specific to the appeal. By default, this field is populated with aid, which is sufficient in most situations, however, if you want to add a unique URL parameter, in Appeal Parameter Name, enter a string of text with no spaces.

    5. Click Save.

Clone an Appeal

Cloning an appeal record does not clone the related appeal product link record(s).

  1. From an appeal record, click Clone.
  2. Make desired changes.
  3. Click Save.
