There are two different types of categories in Nimble AMS:
Categories are created by administrators or staff, and are used to display a set group of merchandise records–like
Accounting Books or
Product categories are created by administrators, and are configured with a query or Apex class and display merchandise dynamically–like
New This Month.
Categories can be linked together to create a nested parent/child hierarchy. If you have a store with a variety of products, consider creating both broad and narrow categories, and then use
Category Links to create a hierarchy.
Category Product Links
To offer a
Product in a Community Hub store, it must be linked to at least one
Category. Category Product Links allow a product to shown in multiple categories. They only work with Self-Service.
