Enable Detailed Error Messages

Enabling for all Users in Community Hub

By default, Community Hub shows users a simple error message when an unexpected issue is encountered. To aid in diagnosing any issues, administrators can enable detailed error messages for all users in Community Hub.

  1. In the Force.com App Menu, select Community Hub Setup.
  2. In the tab bar, click Debug.
  3. To show detailed error messages for constituents using the Community Hub Users profile, select Show Detailed Errors For All Users.
  4. To show detailed error messages for constituents using the Community Hub Guest Users permission set, select Show Detailed Errors For Guest Users.
  5. Click Save.

Enabling on a per user basis

In Production Environments

As best practice in production environments to enable on a per user basis you can go to the user profile and enable error messaging for individual users by dragging the Show Detailed Error Messages field onto the page layout.
