Specify the Access Level for Each Field for a Specific Profile


You can control access to a field for all of Community Hub using the profile of the Community Hub user. By default, there are two profiles used for Community Hub users, Customer Community User for users who are not logged in and Community Hub Login User for users who are logged in. To show a field to a set of users with a permission set.


  1. From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then select Profiles.
  2. Select a Community Hub profiles.
  3. In the Field-Level Security section, click View next to the object you want to modify, and then click Edit.
  4. Select the field access level.

    • Read-Only - Used when you just want to make the field visible to those constituents with this profile.
    • Visible - Used when you want to make the field visible and editable to those constituents with this profile.
  5. Click Save.
